Pick an example, hold the button and “speak”. On the left is the raw text a speech model hands over; on the right, the result the formatter aims for.

Optional: let your voice move the 3D wave and the bar. Sound is analysed in your browser and never recorded or sent.

The formatted results are hand-written examples to illustrate the goal, not recorded app output or quality measurements.

What happens when you speak

This is the app’s path as it stands in the code today. The label says where each step runs.

On your computer

1. Press the shortcut

A global push-to-talk shortcut (on macOS, Option+Space). The app also notes the name of the application you are using.

On your computer

2. Whisper listens

A Whisper model transcribes the audio on the CPU, with the language set to Portuguese. The audio does not leave the computer.

In the cloud

3. A model tidies the text

The transcribed text and the application name go to a language model that punctuates, corrects and removes fillers. If this step fails, the raw text is kept.

On your computer

4. Pastes where you are

The text is pasted into the active window through the clipboard, with a simulated Cmd+V or Ctrl+V.

Before and after, in European Portuguese

The formatter is told to write European Portuguese: “estou a fazer”, not “estou fazendo”; autocarro, telemóvel, ficheiro, ecrã. The examples below use the 1990 Spelling Agreement (AO90) as used in Portugal.
